Entropy Garden No. 47
2026
Custom noise injection on procedural grids (Python + Stable Diffusion)
2048 × 2048 px
AAX-2026-01-0005
The 47th iteration in StochasticBloom's ongoing series exploring the boundary between order and disorder in generative systems. Each 'garden' begins with a perfectly structured grid and subjects it to increasing levels of noise injection until the original geometry is unrecognizable. This particular iteration caught the artist's attention because at noise level 0.73, the corrupted grid momentarily resembled organic plant forms — as if the model had rediscovered biology through pure mathematical decay.
Curator's Note
StochasticBloom's methodical approach — generating hundreds of variations and selecting the most evocative — mirrors the editorial process of a photographer who shoots thousands of frames for one exhibition print. Entry No. 47 is notable for its accidental biomorphism: the emergence of plant-like forms from geometric decay. This is generative art at its most philosophically interesting — asking whether pattern recognition is creation or discovery.
